October 2019 Box
Theme: Abstract
“Symbols touch and exhilarate centers of life beyond the reach of vocabularies of reason and coercion.” - Joseph Campbell

Miniatures in this box and their meanings:
–Recycle/trash can: For all of those thoughts or items that need to go away or maybe return again some other time
–Fortune cookie: Wondering what your future holds? Maybe you need to do a sandtray about it!
–Emojis: We all need to express complex emotions in a simple way – these emoji miniatures help us do just that
–Stressed out man: I have a version of this guy in my miniature collection and he gets used ALL THE TIME, especially by therapists who train with me. Invaluable miniature for sure.
–Anchor: Another symbol that can represent so many very powerful things, emotions, or even people.
–Wire heart: A simple symbol that is used with all ages for all presenting problems. A small but important addition to your miniature collection.
–Cell phone: In my work with teens and tweens, this cell phone is constantly in use. Make sure it’s in plain sight in your collection especially with those age clients!
–Game boy: Not only does this miniature represent a significant part of many kids’ everyday lives, it also opens to see the games inside, which is twice as cool.
–Ladder: This large ladder is often used as a bridge or as something to symbolize a journey. Ladders are an integral part of any abstract miniature collection and this one is quality and a good size to be used for years to come.
–Self care item: A travel resistance band. We’ve included a small instruction card to help you use this everyday when you’re in the car, at your desk, or even just binge watching Netflix! Work those knots out from the tension we all hold from just being therapists.
